Ecoblue
A synthetic product consisting of a Urea solution in water that reduces emissions in heavy vehicles. It is not added to the fuel tank, but reacts in the catalytic converter with gases generated by combustion, converting Nitrogen Oxide into pure nitrogen and water (steam).
Ecoblue is specifically designed for vehicles with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology, which cleans polluting gases produced by these vehicles. This system must be included in all diesel engines in use throughout Europe, due to the adoption of Euro 6 regulation at the end of 2015, which is focused on reducing emissions for engines of this type.
